  • Are your products suitable for sale in Europe?

    We have a lot of products suitable for sale in Europe.  

    One of the main ingredients which can't be sold in Europe is E171.  We have included a filter on the left hand side of our website so that you can select all products which don't include E171.  Look under the 'Select Ingredients' section and tick 'No E171'.   • Are your products suitable for sale in the Middle East?

    We have a lot of products suitable for sale in Middle Eastern Countries.

    We have a lot of products suitable for sale in the United States.  We are also FDA Approved.

  • You haven't got something I want in stock. What do I do?

    If a product is out of stock, you will be able to ask us to email you when it comes back into stock.  In some cases, where the goods are ordered and we have a delivery date, you will also be able to pre-order them.

    We try to keep stock levels up to date on the website, but with so many product lines, some of which are fast moving, we sometimes get it wrong!  If this happens and we can't fulfil your order, we will get in touch as soon as we know about this.  You will have a couple of options

    • We cancel the items from your order and refund you for them.  Please note - this may result in a delivery charge, if the cancelled item results in your order falling below the free delivery threshold of £150.
    • You keep the missing item on back order.  When it arrives, we will contact you and ask if you would like to pay the delivery charge, or place another order which qualifies for free delivery
    • We can hold your entire order until the missing items arrive
    • We can refund your entire order

     

  • What happens when my Pre-Order items arrive with you?

    When your pre-ordered items arrive with us, we will contact you to let you know. 

    You will then have a couple of options

    • You can place an additional order of over £150 so that you can receive free delivery,
    • You can pay the delivery fee of £8.30 plus VAT (UK Mainland)
    • Or if you would prefer, you can have a refund.

  • I no longer require my order. Can I return it?

    Because these are food products, and we pack to meet individual orders, it is difficult for us to accommodate returns.  

    We will however consider this on a case by case basis.  Please Contact us

    Unfortunately we absolutely cannot accept returns on the following items

    • Sale and special offer items
    • Special order items
    • Items that have been opened and are not in a saleable condition
    • Seasonal items within 4 weeks of that season
    • Items that you have received more than 24 hours ago

  • What do I do if an item is faulty?

    If you are less than satisfied with your order please Contact us within 24 hours of receipt.  We will need you to send us photos of the product in question, and the label to enable us to investigate

  • Can I cancel my order once it has been placed?

    If your order hasn't been despatched, then we will try to accommodate this wherever possible.

    If we have started producing your order, then we will have to review it on a case by case basis.  If we have already packed products specifically for you then we will be unable to cancel.  

    Please let us know at the earliest opportunity and we will try to help.

  • I forgot to login so my discount hasn't been applied to my order. What do I do?

    Unfortunately, we can't adjust this retrospectively due to the issues it will cause with the information already transferred to our accounting system.  So there would be 2 options

    Either

    We can issue a refund to your e-wallet for the discounted element so that you can use it as a credit on your account for future orders 

    OR

    We can cancel your order and refund you in full, and then you can log-in and raise your order again.

     

     

  • Can I change or add to my order once I have place it?

    It may be possible to amend your order after it has been placed and up until it has been packed.

  • Can I repack your products and sell on my Amazon/Etsy/eBay site?

    You can repack the majority of our products for sale on other e-commerce platforms or under your own brand.

    The only exception to this is our Sprinkletti range which is a registered trademark.  You can buy Sprinkletti in branded 100g pouches or 30g mini pouches for resale.

  • Do you make bespoke mixes?

    Yes we do.  There are some minimum order quantity requirements depending on the number and type of products in the mix

  • Where can I find special offers or items on sale?

    We have an 'Offers' section on our website.  Here you will see our discounted products.

    Products can be discounted for being

    We do not allow refunds or returns for Offer items

  • Do you give free samples?

    We don't offer a free sample service.  However, we have made our Scrumptious Mini Pouches and Scrumptious Pots available on our Twist Ingredients website so that you can order smaller quantities for testing.

  • When will I get my delivery?

    We aim to despatch all orders within 48 hours of receiving them.  It is often quicker than this.  At busy times, it may be longer, but you will see information on the website when this is the case.

    You will receive a notification when we despatch your order, along with tracking information.  

    As standard, we use UPS Next Day service for UK deliveries.  

  • Do I have a choice of carriers?

    Generally speaking we use the following Couriers

    UK deliveries - UPS

    International deliveries - DHL

    For smaller parcels, there is the option to choose Royal Mail.  

    There is also an option to select a pallet delivery rather than cartons for larger orders.

    If you would like to discuss alternative couriers, please contact us, and we will try to help.

  • Can I Click and Collect?

    Yes of course!

    Simply choose 'collection' as your delivery method.  We will let you know when it is ready to collect from our premises at

    Collections can be made Monday to Friday 8.15 till 3.45

  • What happens if some of my order is out of stock?

    Please take photos of your parcels to record any damage prior to opening them and send them to us.  we will also need to see photos of the inside of the boxes and damaged products where appropriate

     

  • Are any of your products 'Free From' (gluten, nuts, dairy etc)?

    Whilst we have a lot of products which don't have allergens in the ingredients, we are not a certified 'Free From' site.  The ingredients for each product are listed on its product page, but if you have more detailed questions, then please Contact us

    If you have a specific requirement, then we can discuss your requirements with our suppliers, where we may be able to arrange drop shipping to accommodate your needs.

  • Is Shellac Vegetarian

    Until recently, products which contain Shellac were considered by the Vegetarian Society to be vegetarian.  It is important to note that there has been no change in the production process for Shellac.  There is no change in the ingredients in our products even though they may now not be considered vegetarian.  This change is simply because of a change in viewpoint by the Vegetarian Society, which we use as a guide in determining whether or not a product is vegetarian.  

     

    Shellac resin is secreted by the female lac bug. Used in confectionery products as a glazing agent, and to reduce moisture loss in fruit. Alternatives include plant waxes.  I suppose a comparison could be drawn with beeswax, where it is a substance that is produced by an animal, rather than being of animal origin.

     

    Recently however the Vegetarian Society has changed its guidance, and the following explanation has been taken from their website regarding the change of viewpoint and how it is being phased in to labelling of food products


    "In 2021, a new ISO guidance was published (ISO 23662: Definitions and technical criteria for foods and food ingredients suitable for vegetarians or vegans and for labelling and claims). From January 2022, the Vegetarian Society will no longer accredit new products containing shellac with the Vegetarian Society Approved vegetarian trademark. A transitional phase of removing shellac from all existing Vegetarian Society Approved vegetarian trademarked products is now underway, to be completed by 31 December 2023. This period allows manufacturers to phase out packaging / source alternatives to shellac in their products etc. It is important to note that the process of producing shellac has not changed, but the guidance on foods suitable for vegetarians has. During the transition period, anyone who now wishes to avoid products containing shellac should check the ingredients list on the product, in addition to looking for the Vegetarian Society Approved vegetarian trademark.

    The female lac insect produces a resin to cocoon the eggs she lays. When the eggs hatch, they eat the female (which dies naturally after laying eggs). Once the newly hatched insects leave the cocoon, it is then harvested to produce shellac. Until January 2022 (when shellac was removed from the list of permitted ingredients), the Vegetarian Society Approved vegetarian trademark was only available to shellac companies that could demonstrate the quality of their lac beetle husbandry."
